Mr. Steven Duwane Wright

Steven Duwane Wright, age 50, of Murfreesboro, passed away Monday, November 4, 2019. Funeral services will be 1 PM Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Pastor Jason Scales will be eulogist, with burial to follow in Willow Mount Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service Saturday at the funeral home. Steven Duwane Wright was born October 10, 1969, in Lebanon, Tennessee, to Billy Wright and Patsy Simmons Hubbard. He arrived into this world late, screaming, confident, getting everyone’s attention. It set the perfect stage for what this ole world had the good fortune of knowing about him for the next 50 years. Steve’s education can’t be captured by brick and mortar, or years attended. It was life lessons and a youth of hard knocks that taught him work ethic, sacrifice and perseverance. As an adult and young father he learned the value of a hard work. Anyone working alongside Steve quickly understood he was extremely talented and deeply respected his quality of work. He was a quick study to learn any trade, and took great pride in his finished product. Steve’s true happiness always shined most when spending time with family. Steve loved the holidays, and spent countless hours choosing just the right gift for every family member. His smile, infectious laugh and great sense of humor are a few of the many things we will remember and miss so much. His unexpected departure leaves a huge void for those who loved him most. Our lives will never be the same, but we are all so grateful for the sweet privilege of time spent with him. He was a graduate of Cascade High School, a truck driver for Rutherford County Solid Waste Department, and held membership in Believers Faith Fellowship Church in Christiana. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Ursula Jones Wright of Murfreesboro; two sons, Kevin Wright and Avion Ingram; two brothers, Charles Hubbard, and his wife Shawn, and Eddie Wright, and his wife Gina; an uncle, Richard Simmons, and his life partner, Keith Daniels; mother in law, Rita Jones; father in law, Richard Murray; sisters in law, Bridget Harris and Belita Murray; brother in law, Shentonie Jones, Sr; a host of nieces and nephews. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
