James Randy Inmon

James Randy Inmon, known affectionately as Randy to his friends and family, passed away peacefully at his home in Shelbyville, TN, on March 5, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 30, 1954, in Lawrenceburg, TN, Randy was a beacon of joy and kindness in the lives of all who knew him. Randy's life was one of unwavering devotion to his family, friends, and community. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, embodied by his beloved wife of 50 years, Joan Audry Inmon. Together, they raised a family that includes their sons, Jason (Kelly) Inmon and Jesse Inmon, and their cherished grandchildren, Ryan Inmon and Kobe Inmon. Randy's spirit will forever live on through his brothers, Dennis (Libby) Inmon and Mike (Patty) Inmon, and his sister, Sheree Tate. His sister-in-law, Vickie Peacock, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends, will also hold his memory dear. Randy's life was enriched by the companionship of his beloved kitty, BJ, who was a source of comfort and joy. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, James Milford Inmon and Edith Ann Bivens Inmon; his brothers, Terry Wayne Inmon and Larry Crews; and his son, James "Jamie" Randy Inmon Jr. These losses were felt deeply, but Randy's strength and love helped to mend the hearts of those who mourned alongside him. A talented and hardworking man, Randy work at Albea on 2nd shift, Beyond his professional life, Randy was an avid outdoorsman. Hunting and fishing were not just hobbies but ways for him to connect with nature and find peace. He had a talent for tinkering with cars and was the go-to handyman for his family and friends. There was no task too big or too small for Randy to tackle, and he did so with a smile that was both comforting and contagious. Those who knew Randy would describe him as loving, funny, and incredibly handy. Those who had the opportunity to go fishing with him will always remember him saying "Just one more cast." never wanting a good day of fishing to end. His sense of humor brought laughter to everyday moments, and his warmth could light up a room. Randy's love for his family was his guiding force, and the way he cared for and supported them was a testament to the depth of his character. The impact of Randy's life is immeasurable, and his absence will be felt profoundly by those who were fortunate enough to know him. As we say farewell to James Randy Inman, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us.
