Mrs. Joanne Roselyn Perry

Joanne Roselyn Perry went home to be with the Lord on September 30th, 2019 surrounded by her family and friends. Joanne was born June 14, 1943 to William and Blanche Marshall of Smith’s Parish Bermuda. If you knew Joanne then you knew two things about her, that she loved you and that she loved the Lord Jesus Christ. Her life was filled with spending time with family and friends. She loved her church family and spending time in fellowship with them brought her great joy. Joanne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved her family with a passion and treated everyone she came in contact with as a family member. If you knew Joanne then you experienced her many hugs and kisses and were known by her endearments of “Honey”,’ Sweetie”, and “Darling”. She loved life and she loved people. She demonstrated the Love of Christ in all she did. Joanne’s work as an office manager allowed her to share her love and compassion to the many patients that she came to know. She worked at Dr. Frank Jayakody Medical Practice in Shelbyville, TN for over 20 years. Joanne is survived by her husband, Gene Perry of 53 years; her son Steven and his wife Linda; her daughter Deborah and her husband Adam, and her daughter Deanna and her husband Jimmy. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Isaac (wife, Kaitlyn), Seth (wife Kirsten), Joshua (wife, Kayla), Savannah, Zachariah, Charlotte, and Noah; as well as her great-grandchildren, Elliana, Skarlette and Lillia. She is also survived by her siblings: Norma Cross, Eddie and Jan Marshall, Jeff and Francis Marshall, and Alan and Kietney Marshall, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joanne is preceded in death by her brother Roddy Marshall, of Smith’s Parish, Bermuda and her nephew, Danny Lee of Smith’s Parish, Bermuda. Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, October 3rd at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel, 2022 N. Main Street, Hwy 231N in Shelbyville, TN from 4pm-7pm. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church on 1331 Horse Mountain Road, Shelbyville, TN on Friday, October 4th, 2019 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Joanne’s name can be made to Gideon’s International or to Trinity Baptist Church of Shelbyville, TN. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
