Lynn Marie McKee

Lynn Marie McKee, aged 77, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2024, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, embraced by the love of her family. Born on March 21, 1947, in Shelbyville, Tennessee, to Hazel McClanahan and under the watchful eyes of her grandparents, George and Lena Mae Tuck, Lynn grew to be a pillar of strength, love, and laughter in the lives of all who knew her. Lynn's life was one of service and joy. She was a beacon of kindness, always extending a helping hand to those in need. Her passion for rescuing animals, nurturing plants, and singing praises to her Lord were the threads that wove the fabric of her existence. A devout Christian, she found comfort and guidance in the Bible, which she knew and loved deeply. Family was the cornerstone of Lynn's world. She is survived by a loving and extensive family, including her children Andrea Roland (Randy), Bryce Kent Brandon, Jr. (Jacenta), Carrie Reed, Cynthia Wilson (Steve), and Shaun McKee, as well as her siblings Allen Herrin and Mary Bagley. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren Amanda Mason, Amy Dye, Alicia Dye, Matthew Dye, Tyler Brandon, Tiffany Brandon, Tanner Brandon, Jesse Reed, Brent Reed, Heather Wilson, Ross Wilson, and Zia Parks, as well as her thirteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy. Preceding Lynn in death were her mother Hazel McClanahan; her grandparents George and Lena Mae Tuck who instilled in her the virtues of life; her brothers Hans Tolar, Kenneth Tolar, and Wayne Tolar who shared in the joys and sorrows of her early years; and her beloved husband, Harold McKee. Lynn's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. She was a great judge of character, using her wisdom to guide and inspire her children and grandchildren. Her laughter was contagious, her kindness boundless, and her love unconditional. She was incredibly charismatic and beautiful both inside and out, as described by her loving children. Those who knew her were touched by her generosity and her unwavering commitment to living a life filled with compassion and humor. As we remember Lynn, we are reminded of the words of Mother Teresa, "Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love." Lynn embodied this sentiment, finding greatness in the small acts of love she performed every day. Lynn Marie McKee's life was a journey of faith, love, and laughter. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the extraordinary life she lived and the enduring impact she made on her family and community. Her memory will be cherished, and her presence sorely missed, but the lessons she taught through her example will remain with us always. As the sun sets on a life so beautifully lived, we bid a fond farewell to Lynn, a woman of virtue, a matriarch, a friend, and a true servant of the Lord.
