Sheree Dell Vaughn

Funeral Services for Sheree Dell Vaughn, age 64 of Shelbyville will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Gowen-Smith with Brother Jeff Collet officiating. Per her request, she will be cremated after the services are concluded. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Ms. Vaughn passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Sheree was born on Thursday, December 19, 1957 in Tennessee to the late Melvin Newcomb and Audrey McGowan Brown. She was a manager at Arbys and also worked at Eaton Corporation. She attended Shepherds Chapel church in Shelbyville and was a high school graduate. In 1991, she married Daney Vaughn and he has been her soul mate and the love of her life. He cared for her and loved her to the end. Sheree was a loving and caring person, but she was never afraid to speak her mind. Her family referred to her as their own mama Madea. She loved crafting, fishing, reading and studying her bible. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and those she loved. She shared a special bond with her daughter Tami, who cared for her and became her caretaker during her fight with cancer. As the fight went on for three years, they were drawn closer and closer with each passing day. She also shared a special bond with her two boys, B.J. and Jason. They were always there to make sure she had everything she needed. Sheree would let you know very quickly that her boys were her babies no matter how old they were. Along with her husband, she is survived by her children: Brent Powell, Jason Vaughn, Tami Vaughn and Tiffany Powell. She is also survived by her fur baby daughter: Snowflake Vaughn. She is survived by two sisters: Wilma Price of Shelbyville and Ann (David ) Welch of Shelbyville who was also one of her dearest friends. She is survived by fourteen grandchildren: Dylan Powell, Caleb Powell, Braydon Powell, Kyra Powell, Lucas Powell, Katie Machleit, Joslyn Powell, Jaylen Powell, Ciara Powell, Koby Powell, Brenda Vaughn, Makayla (Adam Herald) Schmidt and Audreanna Powell. Sheree is survived by her dear friends: Barbara and Jimmy Thompson and Geri Graves. She is also survived by six grand fur babies: Tiny, Ms. Gray, Sassy, Snuggles, Bentley and Piper. Sheree was preceded in death by her parents: Melvin Newcomb and Audrey Brown, step father: Claude Brown, brother: Claude Brown Jr., sister; Frankie Lynn Brown and one son: William Joel Powell.
