Nieces, Ella McCord, Mallorie "Jeanne" Maldonado, and Tayte McCord further embody his enduring spirit. Steven's in-laws, Jimmy and Denise Valentine, along with many aunts and uncles, share in the family's sorrow and remembrance. Preceding him in death were his brother, Michael "Thumper" Maldonado, and his grandparents, Charles & Patricia Walters and Steve & Lorraine Maldonado. Professionally, Steven was respected as a meticulous vehicle inspector, a role in which he took great pride and demonstrated exceptional skill.
