Mr. Albert Lee Smithson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Albert Lee Smithson, age 86, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 6 PM Monday, January 23, 2017, at First Christian Church. Reverend Kyle Harris and Brother Collin Jorgenson will officiate. The family will receive visitors 4-6 P.M. Monday, January 23, 2017, at First Christian Church. Graveside service, with full military honors, will be 11 AM Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at Willow Mount Cemetery. He was born December 21, 1930, in Chapel Hill, to the late Marion Claude and Annie Mary Joyce Smithson. A veteran of he Korean War, he was a retired machinist and faithful member of First Christian Church. Preceding him in death was his wife, Janie Smithson; sons, Timothy Lee Jorgensen and David Michael Jorgenson; brothers, William Smithson, Berry Smithson, Sam Smithson, and Thomas Smithson; sisters, Frances Barshears, Mary Jane Coble, Hazel Adair, granddaughter Michele Jorgenson, and great grandchild, Ethan Jorgenson. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy (Johnny) Reed, of Shelbyville; a son, Gene Jorgenson, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida;grandchildren, Collin (Lisa) Jorgenson, Rachel (Josh) Livesay, Steven Jorgenson, Rebecca Jorgenson, Ashley (Cara) Reed, and Tripp Reed; great grandchildren, Allyson Jorgenson, Phoebe Jorgenson, Cash Livesay, Case Livesay, and Lorelei Livesay. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
