Mrs. Dorothy Louise Gregory Roberts, age 86, of Shelbyville, passed away August 5, 2019, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Brother Doyle Sherill and Brother Carl Roberts will officiate, with burial to follow in Mt. Hermon Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM until service time Thursday at the funeral home. She was born September 1, 1932, in the Haley Community, to the late William Luther and Mary Carlee Gordon Gregory. She was a homemaker, and along with her husband Clyde, owned and operated Roberts’ Shoes for many years. She held membership at Mt. Herman Baptist Church. Preceding her in death was her husband of 62 years, Brother Clyde Roberts in 2012, a grandson, Andrew Roberts, brothers, Billy Gregory, Jerry Gregory, Wayne Gregory, and Tony Gregory; a sister, Betty Wooten; two sons in law, Doug Cootes and Donald Ward. Survivors include her children, Larry Roberts, and his wife Sherrie, of Rotonda West, Florida, David Roberts, and his wife Donna, of Oak Ridge, Barbara Cootes, of Englewood, Florida, Tim Roberts, and his wife Lisa, of Shelbyville, and Mary Ward, and her husband Mike, of Murfreesboro; a brother, Donald Gregory, and wife Lorene, of Decherd and a sister, Linda McGrew, of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Alex Roberts, David Roberts, Daniel Roberts, Neil Blackburn, Robin Blackburn, Dustin Roberts and his wife Melissa, Derrick Roberts, and his wife Jessica, Jessica Grasso and her husband Jason, Lauren Cootes, Samantha Barnes, and her husband Eric, Kelsey Cootes, and Matthew Ward, and his wife Logann; several great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
