Mr. Henry Donald Gilliland

Mr. Henry Donald Gilliland, age 80, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017, under the loving care and comfort of his family. Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Pastor Paul Franks and Pastor Jackie Lambert will officiate. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors 4-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home. He was born May 17, 1937, in Chester, Pennsylvania, to the late Henry Thomas and Mary Clanton Gilliland. Don was a retired brick mason, and veteran of the United States Army. Preceding him in death were his wife, Ruby Burks Gilliland, and sisters, Sarah Christie and Vera Gibbs. Survivors include daughters, Lesia Jones, Connie Tanner, and Angelia Finley; a son, Shane Gilliland; a brother, Thomas Gilliland; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; special caregivers, Frankie and Crystal Fuller. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
