Mr. Joe Michael Cannon

Mr. Joe Michael Cannon, age 83, of Shelbyville, passed away February 13, 2022. Visitation will be 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. Friday, February 18, 2022, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Funeral services and burial will be held in Thomasville, North Carolina. He was born April 30, 1938, in Thomasville, North Carolina, to the late Willie Lee Cannon and Willa Mae Thomas Cannon. He was a retired walking horse trainer. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Cannon; three sisters: Nellie Swaggerty, Peggy Green, and Betty Rose Thomas; two brothers, Jimbo Thomas and Clyde W. Cannon; and granddaughter, Vanessa Cannon. He is survived by his children: Joleather Correll, Colisa Kearns, Joe Cannon, Roger Cannon, and Corey Cannon; a sister Julia Cannon; grandchildren: John, Scott, Jamie, Derrick, Latesha, Brennan, Jayln, and Chase; great grandchildren: Shavonna, Destiny, Lanqyshia, Zyair, Aaliyha, Dichon, Amari, Billy, Jr., Aleyshia, Brooklyn, and Braylie; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
