God, in his infinite wisdom, rewarded the earthly life of Larry Reynolds on February 22, 2020, by granting him eternal rest into His Kingdom. Larry was born September 3, 1955, in Manchester, TN to the late Adams Daniel Reynolds and Bessie Green Reynolds. Larry professed his faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized at East Cedar Street Church of Christ where he served as a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the youth group. He was a devoted and faithful member of Bird Street Church of Christ until his health failed. He was a 1973 graduate of Central High School, Shelbyville, TN, where he was a manager of the football team for four years. Larry also attended Motlow State Community College, Tullahoma, TN and Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro, TN. Larry was a former President of the Resident Council for Shelbyville Housing Authority. He ran the computer lab, organized activities for the adult residents and games and activities for the children. He served as the assistant kickball coach and was awarded the title of Shelbyville Housing Authority Assistant Coach of the year in 2002. Larry started working at an early age. He was a former employee of Riverbend Country Club, Tyson Food, Mittwede’s Grocery Store, National Pen and Pencil and American Can Company. Larry was preceded in death by three brothers, Timmy Reynolds, Perry Reese and Lonnie Reynolds. He leaves to cherish his memory, three sisters, Linda Harvey, Riverside, CA, Patricia Reynolds, Shelbyville, TN and Patricia Reese, Nashville, TN; one brother Jimmy Reynolds, Shelbyville, TN; three aunts, Essie Reese and Lizzie Reynolds, both of Shelbyville, TN and Cindy Waggoner of Lynchburg, TN; one uncle Elder Ray (Vanita) Reynolds, Los Angeles, CA; five nephews, Zulu (Charito) Ali, Riverside, CA, Brock (Christina) Reynolds and Jason Reynolds, all of Hendersonville, TN, Jermony (Hillary) Davis, Chapel Hill, TN and Keenan (Shanae) Freeman Crisp, Morrison, TN; eight great nieces; five great nephews; two great-great nieces; one great-great nephew; a Godson Chris Hill; devoted friends, Teresa Reynolds and Ella Draine and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Bird Street Church of Christ. Brother Anthony Booker will be eulogist, with burial to follow in Highview Cemetery in Lynchburg. The family will receive visitors 1 PM until service time Saturday at the church. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
