Mrs. Mildred Price

Mrs. Mildred Price, age 101, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017, under the care and comfort of her family. Funeral services will be 11:30 Am Saturday, September 23, 2017 at First United Methodist Church. Reverend Lanita Monroe will officiate, with burial to follow in Willow Mount Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Saturday 10 AM until time of service. She was born January 26, 1916, in Shelbyville to the late Robert Edgar and Daisie Marks Alexander. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee, and taught Distributive Education Marketing at Shelbyville High School for many years. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded her in death by her husband of 57 years, George Price. Survivors include a daughter, Jan Price (Ernest) Taylor, of Newnan, Georgia, and two sons, George E. (Sandy) Price, of Vonore, Tennessee and Mike A. (Kelly) Price, of Marietta, Georgia; a brother, Robert E. (Joan) Alexander, of Tullahoma; grandchildren, Drew Price, Kyle Price, Mathew Price, Kannon Price, Jill Gerard, Natalie Devouvry, Emily Stearns, and Allen Taylor; great grandchildren, Luke Price, Mallory Price, Maren Price, Alexander, Elle Price, Paxton Price, Meagan Martin, Hadleigh Reeves, Millie Reeves, Allen Devouvry, Annabel Devouvry, Price Taylor, and Alexander Taylor; great great grandchildren, Kinsley Norris and Paislee Poindexter. Memorials may be a made to First United Methodist Church Youth Department. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
