Mrs. Sadie Mai Sims Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sadie Mai Hinton Sims was born in Rutherford County, Tennessee, on January 14, 1956, to Billy Sunday Hinton and Mattie Lee Webb Hinton. Sadie departed this life on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Sadie was employed by Tyson Foods for over 10 years. She was a friend to all who had the privilege to meet her. Sadie was a member of Vessels Unto Honor where she attended faithfully. Sadie loved playing bingo, and dancing. She had a sense of humor and love for a good discussion on different topics. But nothing gave her more joy than her grandchildren who she adored. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved siblings Lucille Webb, Patsy Ann Bailey, Rosie Lee Harris, and Billy Hinton Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory, loving husband, Wendell, one child Latoya (Antwain); her grandchildren, Christian and Akeem Taylor; her brother Richard (Annette) Hinton, LaVergne, TN; Dink Guy (Diane) Hinton, Smyrna, TN; and sister Katie Lee Burger, Indiana, Indianapolis; sister-in-law’s Nan (Steve) Tomerlin; Renee (Eugene) Ewing; Lovie (Harvey) Benford; Shelbyville, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Monday, February 7, 2022, at Brandon Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Fosterville. Reverend Mitchell Buchanan will officiate, and Reverend John Perkins will be eulogist. Burial will follow in the Fosterville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 10 AM until service time Monday at the church. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
