Mrs. Elanor Jean Triphon

Elanor Jean (Mauldin) Triphon passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025 at the age of 81 years old in Nampa, Idaho just down the street from her son, Fred Neidermyer and his family. Jean was always a central figure in the lives of her children and anyone who knew them knew that they were a star in her eyes, and that's all that ever mattered to her. Up until the end, Jean maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, appreciation of beauty, and her love of family and friends. Jean was born in Tifton, GA. Her sister Flo Snyder who proceeded her in death, and her brother Tuck Mauldin is a Vietnam & Korean war combat veteran is still living in Oregon. Jean’s best friend as a girl was Doris Burton, and later in life it was Lisa Pederson. Jean’s greatest joy was her three kids - Fred, Tammy & Mindy and their respective spouses Suzanne, Carlyle and Bill. From babysitting, to needlepointing, to attending birthday parties and school performances, Jean very much delighted in her children and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean later in life was married to George Triphon who helped raise their kids in Saratoga, CA, and later moved to Las Vegas, NV, for a few years and then to La Jolla, CA, for about 20 years. After George retired, he and Jean moved to Shelbyville, TN to be with her daughter Tammy, and her family as well as Mindy and her family. After a living few years in Shelbyville, TN her husband George died and Jean moved to Meridian, ID to live next to her son, Fred, and his family. Jean made friends wherever she lived, even at her assisted living facility, Touchmark in Meridian, Idaho where she was known as a helping friend to fellow residents and quickly became a favorite of the care giving staff at that Touchmark. Jean leaves behind her oldest son - Fred John Neidermyer & wife Suzanne May Neidermyer living in Nampa, ID along with their two children - Harrison Neidermyer, and Maddie May Lankford who’s married to Daniel Lankford and they have two kids – Sawyer and Parker Jean. Jean leaves behind her middle daughter Tammy Jean Johnson & husband Carlyle Johnson in Shelbyville, TN as well as their children, Natalie Johnson and Chelsea Pride who’s married to Darian Pride and their son Carter. Jean also leaves behind her youngest daughter, Mindy Janine Craig and husband Bill Craig in Carrollton, GA, and their kids Nicholas Craig who’s married to Whitney Craig and they have two children Lily & Jaden, and Carmen is who’s married to Jared Deering of whom they have two kids - Cora & Luke. Jean’s funeral date is Saturday, April 5th from 2:00 – 3:00PM for visitation and Celebration of life ceremony starting at 3:00PM in Shelbyville, TN at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel located at 2022 N. Main St. – Shelbyville, TN 37160. As we say goodbye to Jean, we celebrate the life of a woman who was unwavering in devotion to her family, the beautiful life she lived, and the countless lives she touched. Jean’s memory will be treasured forever, and will be held close in our hearts as we remember the light she brought into this world…We praise the Lord that she is now in the arms of Jesus.
