Ms. Emojene Marie Sneed

Mrs. Emojene Marie Sneed, age 78, of Murfreesboro, passed away June 30, 2021, at her home, under the loving care and comfort of her family and Alive Hospice. Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday, July 9, 2021, at Prosperity Missionary Baptist Church, in Murfreesboro. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Murfreesboro. The family will receive visitors 11 AM until service time Friday at the church. Emojene Marie Sneed was born on July 10, 1942 in Bedford County to the late Earlie and Madie Sutton McCroskey. She was the fifth child of ten children. Emojene departed this life with a strong faith in God on June 30, 2021. Emojene received her primary education at Christina School in the Rutherford County school system. Emojene retired from Samsonite after over 30 years of dedicated work. She would later go to Borders Books for a few years before fully retiring. Emojene was a strong, wise, and loving woman. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior early in her life at Brandon’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. As a Woman of God, her faith and relationship with God was very strong. She loved every aspect of the worship experience. For many years, she was a proud, faithful, and active member of Prosperity Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as an usher, trustee, and treasurer. Emojene loved her family beyond measure and set the standard for us to follow. She was loved and respected by family and friends and was often sought out for advice and guidance. She was a natural caregiver and used her knowledge and love to care for her family members and friends. Emojene is preceded in death by her brothers, Cecil McCroskey, Lee A. McCroskey, Aaron McCroskey, Walter McCroskey and Earl McCroskey Jr.; sister, Linda McCroskey and great grandson Alexander Bragg. She leaves to cherish her memories one son Anthony Vanzell Sneed , three grandsons Felipio (Michelle) Woods, Fareed (Kamilah) Bashar, Romello Othello Sneed ,one granddaughter Anna Marie Sneed, brothers, Allen (Linda) McCroskey and David McCroskey; sisters, Patricia Chaney, and Helen (Roger) Johnson; Sister-in-laws, Loretta McCroskey; Linda McCroskey, one beloved aunt, Thelma Marie Marshall; Nine great-grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special friend to the family, Linda Faye Phillips. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
