Mr. Harrison Trice Jr.

Harrison Trice Jr. was born December 21, 1954, in Shelbyville, Tennessee, to the late Harrison Trice Sr. and Mary Louise Rippy Trice. He transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Monday, November 25, 2024. Harrison received his early education in Bedford County (Bedford County Training School and Flat Creek Elementary School) and graduated from Shelbyville Central High School in 1972. While he did not attend college, Harrison read several college books used by his siblings. Over the years, he worked in several roles, including on the farm, at Sullivan’s Department Store, Josten’s, Eaton Corporation, and American Can (American National, Cebal). In retirement, he continued to work on small engines and expanded his knowledge on a wide array of subjects. As a result, he was relied upon by the family and community to work on everything. Harrison accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. In his later years, he became a strong example of faith and a powerful witness to the goodness of GOD. He served at Bellview Missionary Baptist Church as a Sunday School teacher, member of the Male Chorus, member of the Adult Choir, and Chairperson of the Laymen’s Ministry. Harrison’s passing has already been felt by the “Bellview Strong” congregation and by the area church community. In addition to his parents, who both passed in 2003, Harrison was preceded in death by his grandparents, uncles, aunts, and a host of cousins and friends. He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Thomas McGee Jr. (2009) and a brother, William L. Trice (2018). Harrison leaves a host of family members to cherish his memory, namely, daughter – Crystal S. Collier (Tampa, Florida); son – Airius M. Trice (Shelbyville, Tennessee); granddaughter – Zoey A. C. Malone (Tampa, Florida); sisters – Dorothy L. McGee, Mattie E. Trice and Elsie M. Trice; nieces – Linda K. (George) Johnson and Lindsey S. Trice; nephews – Corey (Yolanda) McGee and William (Will) L. (Jessica) Trice; great-nieces – Sonya (Jeremiah) Tutt, Danielle (Bladimir) Hernandez, and Zoey S. Trice; great-nephews – Jamie (Brooke) Scott, Michael (Shay) Scott, Titan Trice, Zander Trice, Shiloh Trice, and Bladimir Jesus Hernandez; great-great nieces – Kelsey Cannon, Jada Scott, and Nevaeh Yasmin Hernandez; great-great nephews – Micah McGee, Mason McGee, Isaiah DeOsio, and Zach DeOsio; and sister-in-law – Sharon Trice. Funeral services will be 12 noon Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Believers Faith Fellowship, 2011 South Cann Blvd. Shelbyville. The family will receive visitors 11 AM until service time Tuesday at the church. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
