Mr. Michael Thomas Chipponeri

Michael Thomas Chipponeri, age 70, of Fosterville, passed peacefully into Eternal Life to be with Jesus, one day before his 71st birthday, under the loving care and comfort of his dear wife and Alive Hospice. Michael was born November 11, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Andrew and Emily (DeCamillo) Chipponeri. In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by niece and godchild, Joelle Chipponeri, and brothers-in-law, Martin Hilliard and David Urban. Survivors include his "Honeys" and wife of 49 1/2 years, Pauline (Urban); brother, Joseph (Sherry) Chipponeri, of Novi, Michigan; sister, Terry Hilliard, of Sterling Heights, Michigan; brother-in-law, Larry Urban, of Florida; sister-in-law, Linda Franklin; loving niece Alaina (Patrick) Bissett; and dear nephews, Cameron Chipponeri, Kevin (Stephanie) Hilliard, and Pierce Urban; great nieces and nephews, Ellie, Layla, and Nolan Bissett, and Emily, Lily, and Brady Hilliard; along with many cousins. Mike was a design checker in Michigan at Modern Engineering for 25 years, and then at General Motors Corporation for 11 years. Mike's greatest enjoyment while living in Sterling Heights, Michigan was his built-in swimming pool and the joy and fun of having family and friends over for pool parties. Sterling Heights, Michigan was Mike and Pauline’s home for 25 years before moving to Fosterville and building their home in 2008. He loved and enjoyed his property in the hills of Fosterville, Tennessee, so very much. He was so proud to be the owner of his Kubota tractor. Mike was a very loving and caring soul who dearly cherished his family and treasured every friendship--including the many doctors and care people at Vanderbilt and DCI Shelbyville who, with great compassion, cared for Mike over many years. Mike endured many challenges in his life, but he loved his life and always kept Jesus in his heart through it all. Mike had a special love for all of his St. William Family. Mike was a cherished husband, son, brother, and uncle and he will be deeply missed. Funeral Mass will be 10 AM Thursday, November 16, 2023, at St. William Catholic Church. Father Edwuin Cardona will officiate with burial to follow in Fosterville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 3-6 PM Wednesday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Rosary Service will be 6 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. All are welcome.
